Tecmo World Cup '93 and Tecmo World Cup '92 a prototype of '93 both seem like the same game, but as far as I can tell they are two distinct and separate games. The two key differences being that Tecmo World Cup '93 when the title screen loads if you wait and don't press buttons it will start the demo of the game however Tecmo World Cup '92 will not it has no demo. the other difference is that for Tecmo World Cup '92 when you select what country to play as it assigns a different country for every country you choose to start as where Tecmo World Cup '93 does not instead it starts you pitted against the same opponent regardless of country selection. Then Tecmo World Cup '92 being a Prototype is missing some elements of Tecmo World Cup '93 but both are World Cup Soccer Games. The prototype version (92) also don't have penalty shoot out, so when you are playing the world cup playoffs and the game end as a draw, you are automaticly assigned a victory.
